Love those flowers!

By now, I have only a few scattered blooms outside. However, this quilt top completed at retreat, a 2 x 4 pattern using 2 1/2" strips, is a riot of garden colors. Love the way it turned out.

On another unrelated quilt note, I am determined to sew a Christmas quilt this year. I bought a jelly roll and will make a sample block today of this free pattern. My greens are too dark and I will have to supplement from my stash.

Your new quilt top reminds me that I've got a stack of florals calling my name and that top turned out beautifully, Linda! That's QUITE a jump you've made to that next project. What could be better than a FREE pattern and a fresh jelly roll to sew it up? Enjoy! :o))

I love the 2 x 4 quilt! Nothing better than a lot of floral prints in a quilt.
I too want to make a Christmas quilt this year and had every intention of it being a Christmas in July project and here we are almost at Thanksgiving.

I have seen that Christmas quilt as a top (made by a friend) - it's a great choice. You'll need both darker and brighter greens based on hers. Enjoy the process!!!!!

2x4 turned out so good! Lots of movement and the colors are grand. I am sure you will make the Christmas jelly roll work for that pattern.

The new quilt top is so pretty! I love that Christmas pattern. I made a Christmas lap quilt several years ago from Grinch fabric. I probably should make a serious Christmas quilt at some point....but I love the Grinch so much. 😊

Colourful 2 x 4 quilt Linda. I made a small one a couple of years back but nowI see yours with all the floral fabrics I think my floral Hoffmans would look so good in this pattern. Thanks for posting!
