Another finish

Exciting title, right? The Fading Charms quilt has been done for, er, a long time. I finally quilted it and I just love the eye spy squares and colors. It was fun to quilt. It is ready to be a comfort quilt. It would be perfect for a child. I have plenty more scrap 2 1/2" kid squares, so I could make another one. I hate square quilts as people are not square, so I would modify the shape somehow.

I finished this so long ago, my buddy, Tugger, was alive and inspected the unquilted top.

I love Stripe bindings!

Fading Charms in focus!

On the rainy Sunday, I finished the last round of squares and strips on this leader and ender quilt. All of the 2 1/2" squares are childrens fabric and are scraps from others and what I have collected. Pieced on the lovely and nimble Singer 301. The pattern is free from Wedding Dress Blues. I am also working on her Film at Five quilt as a leader ender.
Since it was raining, I spread it out in the family room. Tugger (aka Mr. Trouble) appeared from nowhere and placed himself in the middle by the time I got back with the camera. How does he know the center? My husband says it is because he thinks he is the center of the universe.
Smack in the middle

Today, I took the quilt outside and tried to photo it although it is a wee bit too big for where I photo the quilts. Hmm, have to find another spot. Don't know what kind of backing to do.

The Fading Charms still growing

Using leader and enders from my other quilt sewing, the borders are getting bigger. I have to add white all around again, a row of single squares, another white, white and color squares at least.

Give away winners and some progress

First, thank you to all those who commented and told me what they liked. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I gave everyone a number in order of a valid email post and drew one number at random. However, a number of you were no reply bloggers (a couple gave me their emails in the comment), and I have no way to get in touch with you. If you go to this link, it will tell you how to correct it for the next time you want to enter a giveaway or get a respones
On Monday or Tuesday, I will mail your packages to the winners. I will email you and you can give me your addresses. Thank you everyone who commented!

I was away visiting my daughter this weekend, so I did not get much sewing done. These pieces in progress were on my wall when I left- Fading Charms with leader-enders and and a mini charm block with denim and gray lap quilt.
