Ah, the Flowers

Even though I have not been posting flower garden photos, I have been greatly enjoying them. We had enough rain this year so things are a bit lusher than last year. The poppies were as usual, big and stunning, although too short lived.

The siberian irises are always so wonderfully delicate and color saturated.

And since I have been buying David Austin roses the past 3 years, I have been reaping the wondrous blooms. The colors, shapes and textures from the flowers inspire and inform my brain of the beauty of color and shapes.

Also, Hot Cocoa was a gift from a friend because I admired it so much.

The astilbes are always a frothy, feathery wonderful sight.

Ahhh, wonderful flowers! Your climate is different enough from ours here that you have things that seem impossibly beautiful and exotic. Thank you for including them.

Also, the Horses quilt is wonderful, inspired. No surprise that it is loved by its new owner.

Your flowers are gorgeous! Things are drying out here rapidly with the intense heat and significant lack of rain (none in the past 2+ weeks and less than .5 predicted for the next 7-10 days).

Your flowers are beautiful. I never had luck with Astilbe so I'm glad to see what it looks like in bloom.

Oh what gorgeous blooms, Linda. I LOVE those roses. The layers of petals are unreal. I bet they smell beautiful. The poppies are stunning. Yes, it's too bad their blooms don't last longer. But they are definitely worth planting. Have a great weekend.

A huge thank you for posting your stunning flower photos! Nothing of interest in our Winter garden here so it's a real joy to gaze on all the colour, David Austin roses are in my garden and I love them for both scent and colour. The poppies are magnificent, such a rich red, how long will they continue to flower?

All your flowers are gorgeous! I just love the bright colorful ones. It has been hot and dry here so there aren't a lot of blooms here.

Gorgeous flowers! I hope one day I will have Astilbe like that. It never seems to grow very fast in my garden. I've seen that Hot Cocoa rose before too. Lovely. But what rose isn't?
