The last portion was started today. The ceiling has been primed. I really need to get some quilts done as my last two quilted comfort quilts went out last week.
The longarm is facing towards you from the left end. This portion is done. |
Instead of a suspended low box, opened up. Primed, painted and new LED light. |
The stairs no longer feel like a descent into a shallow space. Knotty pine panels painted. |

Now you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It will be so much brighter down there painted white.
If you need a comfort quilt before you are up and running I can probably help you out.
It is going to be marvelous! We are in the midst of wallpaper coming down (wallboard on two walls will need significant repair, unfortunately), carpet coming out and planked wood-look flooring to be laid, paint on ceilings and walls, closet transformations, etc etc so I totally feel your pain. Younger son is being such a good sport about living in the room while all this is happening. Thank goodness for both of us that the prep/early infrastructure work is the hardest (takes the longest) and the finish comes together more easily (and more quickly).
Woohoo! It won't be long now until the creative quilting begins. I can't wait to see what you quilt first. I can't wait to see what quilts or AMAZING ART PROJECTS that you do go on the walls. What a brighter, happier space!!!
I bet your longarm misses you. It can't wait too. :)
Oooh - that is going to be SOOO much nicer and brighter with white walls and no carpet. It looks like you have the hard part done and the rest shouldn't take long. I'm looking forward to seeing it all set up - thanks for sharing - ;))
What a BIG job!! You're surviving the process, Linda. You are SEW going to enjoy your new and improved space!
