When I look at the fall leaves and see the great variety of shades and colors, I know why I am a scrap quilter- I just don't want to see just one single shade or hue. If only I could make my quilts sparkle as wonderfully as these trees.

Leaves of lace cap/endless summer variety |
Hardy mums that actually come back every year |
My neighbors rose that always saves some blooms for late fall |

I can't pull these out to plant bulbs |

LOVE all of those colors - I wouldn't be able to pull out the flowers to plant bulbs, either - ;))
Linda, all I can say is thank you for this glorious colour filled post. The trees are looking amazing and you have lots of colour still in your garden. I love the colours in your snapdragon.
What a vibrant display nature puts on. Thanks for capturing its for us. Our seasonal color is very drab and washed out from the heat I think this year.
Such beautiful colors! I too enjoy seeing all the different fall colors. Thanks for a walk through your neighborhood.
You have some beautiful colors there. I didn't want to pull out my zinnias either but this morning they are toppled over under heavy snow and freezing rain. Our first hard freeze is on Friday.
We will have freezing temps overnight this weekend so that will be the end of our giant lime green coleus plants. I'll miss them! Thanks for sharing your colors - and I agree about the scrappy thoughts (lots of shades of one color is much more interesting than just one).
Beautiful scenery and images. Thanks for sharing!

We had snow Oct 30-31. On Nov 1st, all the leaves were on top of the snow.
