The landscape is like taking mega B-12 shots. I photograph for my painting reference and to inspire me with colors and textures. I did even visit one quilt store and leave a chunk of change there. My goal is to start some landscape quilts this year after dithering about techniques and fear of starting. I have lots of ideas.

Wonderful spot for inspiration. Some of your photos almost match quilts I have made. It's that artist eye I guess.
It sounds like you had a fantastic time and it looks like fabulous weather. Your post reminds me...I never posted pictures of my trip. I best get that fixed.
You sound to have had a wonderful time with the family, the scenery is stunning, guess you're going to be studying those photos now for inspiration for your next painting.
