Autumn quilt bordered

It was a journey, but I finished piecing Appalachian Autumn and put a border on it. I do not like to have many seams in the binding, so a border will help alleviate that. I varied a lot from Bonnie Hunter's pattern, but I really like the way it turned out. I also premade the binding so it will vary from green to brown to orange like the quilt.

Too many seams to put a binding on for me

You did the best thing to add the border, just imagine going through all those seams trying not to lose points.Another great finish!

Pretty colors in this one. That is what it is all about, see an idea and make the changes you need to enjoy the process and end up with a finished project.

I like how the light blue border lets the quilt top float in the center. Beautifully done, Linda!

That is very nice. A variegated binding will set it off nicely.
