More show photos

The guild show, Oct. 4th and 5th, was the result of a lot of members doing a lot of things well. Here are some more photos of what went on.
Home Dec
Basket raffle
Fabric pool- a wading pool filled with scraps- ziploc bag full for $1.  Other fabrics bagged: fat quaters, yardage, orphan blocks, holiday fabric, etc. All donated by members and bought by show attendees. I bought some floral yardage.
Boutique
Tearoom with one member's legacy of quilts. Served tea, coffee, salad with chicken, beef barley or chicken chowder with bacon, just salad and plates of delicious tea breads and cookies. All served on real china plates, cups, cloth napkins and vintage cloth tablecloths. I did lots of dishes.

Wow.....great job! So many baskets. Your guild puts all others to shame in the basket arena. I have never seen such a collection. Love the fabric pool idea and will share it with the next show chairman here. But the Tea Room is fabulous! Our venue does not have the space for this, but I do think it is a wonderful idea. Your boutique puts most guild boutiques to shame too! I would have loved to dig in there. Wow, the quilts are beautiful, and I like the dark sheeting behind them. Much better than white.

Every thing is sooo amazing Linda. And all looks gorgeous. I love the quilts, the baskets, the Tea Room and the fact that there are bags of fabric for sale. I sure wish the guild in my county would do something like this.I know it was a lot of work, but it was well worth all the effort. Just awesome!

LOVE the fabric pool idea - what a great way to purge the stash for the benefit of the guild. Congrats on all the work to make this happen - it looks like it was a terrific event!!

Linda - your show looks wonderful! I especially like the "fabric pool" and the black background for the quilts - it really shows them off well - ;))

Looks like a successful show - so many beautiful quilts, and I can't imagine how many vintage tablecloths and napkins you had to collect to make that tea room so charming.

nest to the bottom photo, bottom quilt in it, isn't that the quilt you made with one of your grands?? I really like the tea room. At our quilt show, one of the groups from the school we use serves things like hot dogs. Not nearly as appetizing. We do have a large baked goods table we can get sweets from.
