Diamond rainbow strips a wrap

Months back, I cut and sewed the blocks for a Missouri Star Quilt pattern, called Cutting Corners. When I put it on the wall, I did not like the look. The strips go in different directions and it was annoying. I moved it and moved it around, and came up with this design, sewed it together. Quilted it last week, finally. Another striped binding, and it is done. The back is donated fabric. This will be a larger comfort quilt, I think bed size. It was fun.

I see what you mean...the bands move in different directions....unsettling to me. But it turned out great and anything done is good!

I think I'd be annoyed with the differences too, but I find the layout stage hard. We're looking so close up at all the nuances of fabric, orientation, and so on, but how different it is when it's together, or better yet, quilted. And quilted is good on this, I think. I like what you've done for the designs everywhere I can see. It's cheery and bright, and this is a good pattern to use these fabrics. I think it's a great success. Just my 2 cents worth.
