Migration has landed

When Alycia posted a Mystery Quilt a while back, I decided to make it. I needed to do a veteran quilt. I try to do four a year. The top was finished rather quickly and it sat that way for too long. Finally, I quilted it and bound it.  She named it Migration and the pattern is for sale at Craftsy. She will be doing another mystery quilt real soon, so check her out if you would like to jump on board.
I changed it up a bit and made the blue stars at the strip junctions. Pieced on a Singer 301 with PremoSoft thread. Quilted on a Nolting NV with Glide on the top and Omni in the bobbin.

What a wonderful quilt! This has always been a favorite block of mine. I do like your intersections. Great finish!

The little stars at the sashing intersections are a great added feature.

It is a real beauty. Nothing like a blue and white to delight!

I like that! I didn't get on board with her group till the last mystery, and, I didn't have time to make it. A new one is supposed to come out soon, but, I don't have time for it, either.

Linda, I have to say how much the sky blue background changes the overall feel of the quilt. So often we turn to red, white and blue, but I'm amazed at how this softens the palette. I will tuck that little gem into my brain, if I can remember. I didn't see the original pattern for this, but the spinning stars look very appropriately placed. Very nice work for a great cause!

I also added a single cloud and the sentiment was cut out of sky blue card and added to the top of the frame. White on white mats and layers completed the card. green chain link fence
