All those Little Boxes- in the Snow

I had finished quilting Little Boxes, but it wasn't until today that I sewed the binding on. The free pattern was from jelly roll fabrics. I have to say, I do not like the quilt. I think the white is overbearing the boxes and it is boring because the fabrics repeat since they are subcut from wof strip sets. I made this because it was easy and I gave my mother long strips to sew in pairs. She likes to be busy and she sews straight seams with no matching. It is the second one I have made. My husband thinks it is the best thing I ever made and he wished it were bigger. Hard to believe. It will be a comfort quilt.
I am consciously trying to give the reader more interesting photos and am following the photo hints I found from quiltylove.com. The sun and snow made the quilt look more pizazzy than it is because the snow neutralized the white. I did not shoot a picture of the whole back as it is all one seamed fabric. Enjoy!
Inside, some backing

I stumbled into your blog through Kevin the Quilter's blog roll. Wow I love this quilt and the pictures are fabulous. It may be my first time visiting but I will be back for more inspiration.

Two thoughts:
1. This is a quilt is probably a modern quilter's dream. They are all about the negative space.
2. This quilt would be AMAZING done scrappy!! I even like it with the repeating bits from the jelly roll.
Make that three thoughts:
3. Love, love, LOVE that you find quilty jobs for your Mom to work on!!

Saw your quilt on Sarah's Confessions blog. I think it looks great - its the quilting that makes it and the pairs look good, doesn't matter that there are repeats. A finished useful quilt is a great quilt!

love, love love the photos! Good job on the one outside by the dried gras! Wow....just like a magazine. For sure, a more modern quilt pattern, but it is colorful and turned out great!

I really like your quilt. It's bright and colorful! I especially love the variety of quilting you did in the solid rows. Really makes the quilt special! I'm going to be a follower....
