Sunset and wonder

I live in a small Cape a block from the City of Buffalo line and I love my neighborhood. Even though it is not an exotic location or a wonder of the world, I have fun living here and I am awestruck on a regular basis by beauty. I guess that is one reason I garden.
The other night, I caught some orange glow out my window and ran to the corner and carefully stood in the street. The view was awesome and I kept snapping until the glow died back. The orange just draped the clouds with colors. One woman was walking towards me with a dog and I said, "Turn around and look". She did and said, "Meh" and kept walking. The wonder of nature and colors motivates me all the time. That is one reason why I love fabric and paint and make things with them. Try some wonder on for size soon.

I can't believe that your neighbor only said "meh" to that gorgeous sunset. Given how hard it can be to get really good sunset photos the real deal must have been truly spectacular!! Harvest Moon tonight - I wonder how that will be - kinda hazy here...

I can not imagine anyone being un-impressed with the wonder of a sunset - I revel in them! I don't know how many photos I have of both sunsets and sunrise. I make sure I'm up out of bed at dawn just so I can open the curtains, sit in a comfy chair and drink in the colour developing in front of my eyes. Just look at the glorious colour in your photos, we are so lucky!!

That is the kind of glow that makes the house across the street (me looking out the east front door) turn pinkish. Then I know to look out the west windows for a beautiful sunset. I don't have a clear shot for photos, houses and lots of trees so my camera doesn't pick up the intensity of the sky colors. I can't imagine not being impressed and excited by it.
