I think this is something we all struggle with. I know i do.
Your shelving worked well to organize the boxes of fabric pieces. I like your tidy little rows of notes of future quilts. I think I may need to do the same thing. My brain is packed too full right now.
Looks like you have a large, well lit place to create. It looks used and loved. Love the sticky wall of ideas....no more jostling in the brain is a good thing in my book.
Nice to see your shelving full of fabric packed boxes - don't they look cute! Now, your notes - absolutely brilliant idea Linda and one I'm just going to have to copy. You're so right about all the ideas spinning around in our heads, tomorrow I'm going to get busy!!
The floor is my usual stacking spot and it drives me crazy! The notes of future quilts is a great idea.....I keep a list of ideas posted too. Workspace...we all need more.
Progress is good even if the headache is slowing you down. I have a notebook in the studio for future projects and albums of photos on my computer. More ideas than I'll ever use but it is fun to see which ones happen and which ones I fall out of love with over time. Like the new "fabric off the floor" system.
Not knowing what your organizational system was like before, it looks as though you have made wonderful progress? I love your shelving system with the clear boxes of fabric on them. Best wishes on completing your project and try not to get too overwhelmed.
I agree I'm going to have to copy some of your organization methods. I think the post it notes are great as they can be moved and rearranged as necessary. Excellent post, and just what I needed today.
