Fleece is not my favorite fabric to sew. It is stretchy and fuzzy and just not as cooperative as quilting cotton. But, when you have kids to sew for, I am willing to bend a bit.
My youngest granddaughter, Violet, turned 3 in November and got a big girl's bed. I made all the other grands quillows, so it was her turn. Joann's has had fleece on sale, so I made sure I bought the anti pill fleece and not the thin cheap stuff. I like to sew the blanket first, and then cut off the selvages. I used a plate to trace the curved corners for cutting. This quillow was made 84" long and the extra that I bought I used for 2 extra 18" pillows and the quillow cover that goes on the blanket to fold into. I picked the violet fabric for her and the butterflies because I love them. She will get all this for Christmas.

Awww, she will love it!
Those are perfect for her first big girl bed.
Sweet! I forgot about quillows! I haven't made one in over 20 years.
