Painted on Arches paper that was brushed with gesso first. |
Arches bright white cold press 140 lb paper |
A half sheet of Arches cold press 300 lb paper. You think fabric is expensive. this paper is in that ballpark. |
Keep in mind, I am a very amateur photographer and I cannot get the true colors of the paintings across in these posts. Transparent watercolor is hard to reproduce.

Your paintings are very good. I think all art work is hard to reproduce in a photo, loss of depth of colors mainly. Where a painting will look very realistic in person it will have a flatter appearance in a photo.
Well, honey.....you win the prize in my book! Your paintings are wonderful. Since I love Monet, I am very partial to waterlilies. All three are wonderful. But the Grandmother and granddaughter is such a delight. You captured the moment with pure heart and tenderness. That what they will always see.
Nice portrait. What a treasure for the family.
Your paintings are wonderful!! The waterlilies are so pretty - and the one of your friend's Mom with her great granddaughter is truly special - ;))
Thank you for sharing these -- you have such a gift for seeing and translating that into paintings.
