Trying it on

I was looking through Pinterest (huge time sucker) and found a block I liked, but had to do a lot of digging to find out the name and a tutorial. I pulled out some strips and made the block and it was wrong- it needed mirror image blocks- not in the tutorial. Fortunately, I figured out how to mark the strips to get what I needed. I sewed two of them together and left the other pieces to combine with other colors. I do want to make more. They use 2 1/2" strips and the block finishes at 7".  It is called Two strip pinwheel or Double pinwheel.
Yes, I know the center is not perfect.

No police here.....looks good for me! Yeah, Pinterest is good resource for ideas, and only some of them have decent instructions and correct measurement etc details. Glad you figured it out! I will pin your post :)

I started a quilt with that block, Eleanor Burns book, when I was teaching a class. I think I wasn't supposed to have mirror image and I made one group wrong. Never finished that quilt. I'll have to watch your layout and maybe I can salvage the blocks.

I hate it when I can't find the link on Pinterest, it is so frustrating. I love your block!

The Evil Website definitely has a lot of ideas. Choosing just one to make can be a problem. LOL. Your blocks are looking good - can't wait to see your layout.
