H...Totally delicious collection of bits and pieces!<br />How about a vortex of the strips.. starting with a centre chunk and adding strips on each side, like building a huge log cabin block, going around and around until the strips are gone? That would be fun!Quilter Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16870660916547202929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818063273966025976.post-13439337689127187242018-07-20T08:53:41.980-07:002018-07-20T08:53:41.980-07:00I love all the color and the scrappiness!! Pick one set, and try out different things and run with it. The reason I enjoy making things with scraps is because there isn't the pressure of making the perfect thing - this is "trash" anyway so if I completely mess up, I didn't lose anything. I tend to like my "trash" pieces better than the original thing I made because I have more freedom and flexibility to play and make it just the way I like without worrying what anyone else will think of it.Shelina (formerly known as Shasta)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03290945204269323129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818063273966025976.post-85657062724228364392018-07-12T12:09:43.116-07:002018-07-12T12:09:43.116-07:00I love "crumb" blocks - and found a grea...I love "crumb" blocks - and found a great layout with a simple "alternate" block. May I suggest taking a look at Stash Statement Quilts blog hop by Kelly of My Quilt Infatuation? I had the opportunity to make a quilt from her book (Fire Pit) and recommend the patterns Beach retreat and Scattered. I am just not that good at jumping out of my box. But Julie has given you lots of ideas. Go for it. My scraps were all loose bits and any orphan blocks that were in the box were chopped into thirds or quarters so they were no longer recognizable as the blocks they had been. DON'T GIVE UP!!
