BUT - I guess I'll NEVER be a competition quilter. Too much patience and time required for me. I've spoiled myself with my lazy diagonal-cut binding strips and just machine sewing them on - takes about 10-15 minutes per large quilt - and NO thinking. I like to cut lots of diagonal fabric for bindings in advance from my 60 inch wide fabrics - that gives me many very long strips that are from 85" to 60" so I dont have to splice much together to do an entire continuous binding. No one I give the quilts to ever examines. So both of us are happy! I do love to go to quilt shows to see what the "experts" present. I 'm just happy to be an appreciatative spectator.Pegnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818063273966025976.post-79560256064073209292015-06-28T09:17:58.595-07:002015-06-28T09:17:58.595-07:00Glue binding rocks. The Elmer's washable school glue is just a heavy starch and washes out. No pins, it is all attached before it is sewn. Ends meet perfectly before sewing. How does gluing help?Pegnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7818063273966025976.post-75915101732690326662015-06-24T16:58:23.501-07:002015-06-24T16:58:23.501-07:00I love all of them but especially the last one.I love all of them but especially the last one.Vicki Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06929340703066037054noreply@blogger.com
