Nine patching the Kaleidoscope

Because there is so much matching to sew the kaleidoscope blocks together, I am trying to sew in smaller sections than my usual columns with the long seams. There are nine rows, so I am breaking the sections into nine patches of 3 x 3. So far, I have these done. There are 7 columns, so I am not half done. I have to pin every intersection due to the block construction. I can't even think yet if it needs a border.

Smart thinking!! Eliminating those long seems seems to make the quilt go together faster. Happy quilting!!

Wow...it is outstanding and vibrant! I much prefer working in sections/units too. Long rows are boring anyway!

Such an interesting pattern! It will be stunning when finished.

You know - seeing the photo today, perhaps a long narrow wall quilt would be a good idea for me instead of a full size quilt ... still thinking how I want to make mine.

Good idea for the breakdown of sewing the blocks together, Organised Chaos is looking stunning!!
I'll be interested to see the blocks from the strip tubes, I think I have instructions somewhere for this sort of quilt, must hunt it out!
